Overview
BDS Suspension has designed this 4.5-inch lift kit specifically for the 1987–1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ to improve stance, performance, and off-road capability. The kit provides clearance for up to 33-inch tires and includes all necessary components for a complete installation. Front and rear Glide-Ride leaf springs are paired with a transfer case drop kit, track bar relocation brackets, sway bar disconnects, stainless steel braided brake lines, bump stop extensions, extended shackles, a power steering pitman arm, and NX2 Nitro Series gas shocks tuned specifically for this vehicle.
Glide-Ride Leaf Springs
BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs use a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design with an exclusive triple-stage construction. Features include tapered leafs, anti-friction pads, bolt-style leaf alignment clamps, and a full military wrap to protect spring eyes. This design delivers a smooth ride under varying loads while providing flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.

Installation

Important Notes
- May require driveshaft lengthening if equipped with a 13-inch (u-joint to u-joint) driveshaft.
- May require a larger diameter driveshaft if equipped with a 41.5-inch front driveshaft.
- A slip yoke eliminator and dual cardan style rear driveshaft may be required to eliminate driveline vibration.
- If running a heavy configuration (e.g., hard top with full-size spare), front springs should be used on both the front and rear axle. This selection can be made in the customize section before checking out.
- Pitman arm will NOT fit YJ models equipped with manual steering.
