Configured for trucks with Cast Steel control arms, with Glide-Ride rear leaf springs that eliminate the need for a lift block, reduce axle wrap, and maintain factory payload ratings with a multi-leaf progressive design. Rear shocks are FOX 2.0 Performance Series: 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston, and application-specific valving with a clear anodized finish.
The BDS 4.5-inch lift kit is designed for the 2014–2018 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD, providing improved stance, performance, and off-road capability with clearance for up to 33-inch tires. The kit takes advantage of BDS's high-clearance design to improve ground clearance and off-road protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for on-road handling.
Up front, the kit uses full-length replacement strut shocks, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multipiece differential relocation brackets, and heavy-duty skid plates. Steering geometry is corrected at the new ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. Sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all necessary hardware are included. In the rear, buyers can choose between a replacement lift block or full Glide-Ride leaf spring option, along with new u-bolts, brake line brackets, and a choice of NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series rear shocks.
*IMPORTANT*: GM is producing several knuckle/control arm configurations in 2014–2017 model trucks. Cast Steel control arm equipped models will require the "Cast Steel Control Arm" kit. Stamped Steel and Aluminum control arm equipped models will require the "Aluminum Control Arm" kit. Be sure to verify which factory control arms your truck has before ordering by referencing the help images when customizing your kit.
