Overview
The BDS 4-inch suspension lift kit for the Chevy Colorado ZR2 (2017–2022) is engineered to improve stance, performance, and off-road capability while retaining the factory DSSV coilover dampers. Specifically designed strut spacers correctly position the DSSV coilovers to set ride height and maintain clearance throughout the full range of suspension travel, accommodating up to 35-inch tires. The kit leverages BDS's high-clearance design to improve ground clearance, structural strength, and off-road protection, while simultaneously correcting suspension and steering geometry for proper on-road handling at the new ride height.
Up front, the kit features top-mounted strut spacers, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multipiece differential relocation brackets, and heavy-duty skid plates built for off-road protection. Steering geometry is corrected with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles and replacement tie rod ends that maintain ESC system compatibility. Sway bar links, bump stop extensions, CV spacers, and all necessary hardware are also included for a comprehensive front suspension lift.

Important Notes
- Compatible with gas and diesel models
- Inner fender trimming required
- Minor welding required
- The electronic assisted steering system is sensitive to out-of-round, unbalanced, and more aggressive tread pattern tires — high-speed steering wheel feedback can occur
- Stock 17-inch and 18-inch wheels cannot be reinstalled with this lift kit; aftermarket 20-inch wheels with a maximum 5.25-inch backspacing are recommended
- Certain wheel and tire combinations will require weld-on steering stops — these are included in the kit; see end of instruction sheet for details
