This configuration includes Glide-Ride replacement leaf springs and NX2 Nitro Series rear shocks, designed for trucks with Aluminum or Stamped Steel control arms. The multi-leaf progressive leaf spring design eliminates the need for a lift block, reduces axle wrap, creates a more controlled and stable feel, and maintains factory payload weight ratings. NX2 Nitro Series shocks feature a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.
The BDS 6-inch lift kit for the 2014–2018 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD is engineered to improve stance, off-road performance, and capability, providing clearance for up to 35-inch tires. The kit uses BDS's high-clearance design to improve ground clearance, strength, and off-road protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for on-road handling. Up front, the kit utilizes full-length replacement strut shocks, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, a multipiece differential relocation bracket system, and heavy-duty skid plates. Steering geometry is corrected at the new ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. Sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all necessary hardware are also included. In the rear, buyers may choose between a replacement lift block or a full Glide-Ride leaf spring option, paired with new U-bolts, brake line brackets, and either NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance Series rear shocks.
Control Arm Compatibility Notice: GM produced several knuckle and control arm configurations in 2014–2018 model year trucks. Cast Steel control arm equipped models require the Cast Steel Control Arm kit. Stamped Steel and Aluminum control arm equipped models require the Aluminum Control Arm kit. Verify which factory control arms are installed before ordering.
