Rear lift is achieved with full Glide-Ride replacement leaf springs — a multi-leaf progressive design that mounts between the factory axle and leaf springs to deliver correct pinion angles, reduce axle wrap, and maintain factory payload weight ratings. Paired with FOX 2.0 Performance Series rear shocks featuring a 2-inch impact-extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, and application-specific valving for maximum performance.

Overview

This BDS 4.5-inch lift kit is engineered for 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD trucks. The kit provides clearance for up to 33-inch tires while improving stance, ground clearance, and off-road capability. It takes advantage of BDS's high-clearance design to correct suspension and steering geometry at the new ride height, preserving on-road handling characteristics.

Up front, the kit uses full-length replacement strut shocks, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, a multi-piece differential relocation bracket, heavy-duty skid plates, CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles, sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all required hardware. In the rear, customers can choose between a lift block option or full Glide-Ride leaf spring replacement, along with new U-bolts, brake line brackets, and a choice of NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.

• This system will not fit 2007 Classic models
• Installation of rear leaf springs requires removal of the fuel tank
• Requires frame bracket modification
• 20-inch wheels with 5-inch to 5-3/4-inch backspacing recommended to reduce trimming
• Traction bars will not fit regular cab short box models
• Add part #121651 Auxiliary Differential Support Bracket for AWD models; may also require front driveline modification
• Will not fit two-mode hybrid models with electronic power steering
• Stock 20-inch wheels can be re-installed only with factory tire size
• Factory 17-inch and 18-inch wheels cannot be re-installed
