Overview
Improve the ride and level out your 1983–1997 Ford Ranger 4WD with this 4-inch suspension lift kit from BDS Suspension. Designed to improve stance, performance, and off-road capability, this kit includes everything needed to achieve proper lift height with clearance for up to 31-inch tires. Up front, the kit utilizes Pro-Ride coil springs, heavy duty axle pivot brackets, radius arm drop brackets, a forged pitman arm for steering correction, bump stop extensions, and precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen charged shocks. The rear of the base kit uses a high-strength lift block, longer U-bolts, and a matching set of NX2 Nitro shocks.

Important Notes
- Ball joint alignment cam will be required for alignment; these are available in the options section or from your local alignment shop.
- Extra cab models may not achieve stated height.
- Models equipped with a 2-piece driveshaft will require the carrier bearing crossmember to be lowered.
- Bronco II 1985–90 models with CV joint type drive shaft must be converted to an exposed joint shaft.
- Vehicles equipped with factory STX package will not achieve stated height.
- The dual steering stabilizer listed in the accessories will not fit applications with a factory front sway bar.
