BDS 4.5 Inch Long Arm Lift Kit | 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ | NX2 Nitro Series Shocks

This kit is configured with NX2 Nitro Series shocks featuring a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, dual-welded ends for increased strength, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.

Overview

This 4.5-inch lift kit with long arm conversion from BDS Suspension is designed for the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. The kit provides clearance for up to 33-inch tires and includes everything required to complete the installation. By maximizing the length of both the upper and lower control arms, the design minimizes caster change for improved handling and reduced road forces. New subframe braces incorporate the link mounts and support an optional belly pan.

The front of the kit includes subframe pivot mounts, heavy-duty lower flex arms, adjustable upper flex arms, 4.5-inch Pro-Ride coil springs capable of full coil bind, bump stop extensions to increase wheel travel, braided stainless steel brake lines, ultimate sway bar disconnects, a front adjustable track bar with flex joint, and a drop pitman arm to improve steering geometry. The rear kit includes Pro-Ride coil springs for maximum travel, a stainless braided brake line, and a rear track bar relocation bracket.

Long Arm Conversion: The long arm upgrade uses massive 1/4-inch steel frame-mounted brackets to install oversized upper and lower formed long arms. The arms are formed for maximum tire clearance and allow the stock control arm tabs to remain on the vehicle. Upper arms are solid stock while the heavy-wall tubular lower arms use oversized greaseable polyurethane bushings for road vibration isolation.

Pro-Ride Coil Springs: Full-length, Jeep-specific Pro-Ride coil springs are manufactured from high-tensile steel with properly sized wire diameter, engineered for the correct lift height, smooth ride, and maximum reliability without premature coil bind.

Important Notes

A slip yoke eliminator kit and CV-style rear driveshaft are required. May require exhaust modification. Some welding required. Long arm systems also fit short wheelbase Rubicon models (not Unlimited models).
