Overview

BDS Suspension has designed this 3.5-inch lift kit for the 1987–1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ to improve stance, performance, and capability. The kit provides clearance for up to 33-inch tires and includes everything necessary for a complete installation. Front and rear Glide-Ride leaf springs are paired with new U-bolts, front and rear track bar relocation brackets, brake line brackets, a power steering pitman arm, bump stop extensions, and a transfer case drop kit to ease driveline angles. The kit is rounded out with NX2 Nitro Series gas shocks tuned specifically for this application.

Glide-Ride Leaf Springs

BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs use a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design with an exclusive triple-stage construction. Features include tapered leafs, anti-friction pads, bolt-style leaf alignment clamps, and a full military wrap to protect spring eyes. This design delivers a smooth ride under varying loads while maintaining flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.

Important Notes

• May require driveshaft lengthening for a 13-inch (U-joint to U-joint) driveshaft.
• May require a larger diameter driveshaft if equipped with a 41-1/2-inch front driveshaft.
• Extended shackles are recommended to clear the military wrap.
• Models with accessories such as a hardtop, rear tire carrier, or roof rack should use #004351 springs on the front and rear.
• When combining lifted shackles with a 3.5-inch suspension system, a tail shaft eliminator kit and a CV-style rear driveshaft may be required to eliminate driveline vibration.
• Pitman arm will NOT fit YJ models equipped with manual steering.
