Overview

The BDS Recoil Traction Bar Kit is designed for 2011–2016 Ford F250/F350 Super Duty 4WD Long Bed trucks. It improves traction without limiting wheel travel by using heavy wall construction and internal compression springs that can be loaded or unloaded while installed on the vehicle to control axle wrap. The full float design delivers bind-free performance across a range of lift heights. The bar is fabricated from 2-inch OD x 3/16-inch wall steel tubing with a threaded bung welded in toward the axle end and a CNC-machined end at the frame. The axle mount uses a large-forged flex end and jam nut with a forged housing featuring a 1-1/4-inch x 12 threaded shank, a single-sided snap ring, and a 1-piece flex ball capable of up to 15 degrees of misalignment in either direction. The frame end utilizes a durometer-specific polyurethane bushing that free-floats within the traction bar via dual-stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings.
