Overview

The BDS Recoil Traction Bar Kit is designed for 2017–2026 Ford F250/F350 Super Duty 4WD trucks equipped with a 3.5- or 4-inch diameter axle tube. Built with heavy-wall construction and internal compression springs, this kit controls axle wrap without limiting wheel travel. The full-float design delivers bind-free performance across a range of lift heights. The bar is fabricated from 2-inch OD x 3/16-inch wall steel tubing with a threaded bung welded toward the axle end and a CNC-machined end at the frame. The axle mount uses BDS's large-forged flex end and jam nut — featuring a forged housing with a large 1-1/4-inch x 12 threaded shank, a single-sided snap ring, and a 1-piece flex ball capable of up to 15 degrees of misalignment in either direction. At the frame end, a durometer-specific polyurethane bushing free-floats within the traction bar via a pair of dual-stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings.
