Configured with a rear block kit and FOX 2.5 Performance Elite rear shocks. The cast-iron 5-inch rear block replaces the factory block, netting 3 inches of rear lift to level the vehicle while correcting pinion angles and maintaining factory payload ratings. FOX 2.5 Performance Elite shocks feature a 2.5-inch impact extruded aluminum body, a massive 7/8-inch hard chrome plated alloy steel shaft, an external reservoir, and a standard DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster for precise tuning across terrain, load, and speed. Fully serviceable with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
Overview
This BDS 4-inch lift kit is designed for 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD trucks. The kit improves stance, ground clearance, and off-road capability while providing clearance for up to 33-inch tires. It leverages BDS's high-clearance design to correct suspension and steering geometry at the new ride height for on-road handling and off-road performance. Up front, the kit uses full-length replacement strut shocks, high-arched 1/4-inch-thick steel crossmembers, a multipiece differential relocation bracket, and heavy-duty skid plates. Steering geometry is corrected with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. The kit also includes sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all necessary hardware. In the rear, buyers can choose between replacement lift blocks or complete Glide-Ride leaf springs, paired with either FOX 2.0 Performance Series or FOX 2.5 Performance Elite rear shocks.
Features
- FOX 2.5 Performance Elite shocks designed for increased travel and the ability to soak up rough terrain; DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjuster allows precise tuning with a simple twist of one or both knobs
- High-clearance crossmember design maximizes ground clearance using 1/4-inch-thick laser-cut steel crossmembers
- CNC-machined ductile cast-iron steering knuckles correct steering geometry at the new ride height and maintain ESC system compliance
- Heavy-duty skid plate system bolts together to create a rigid subframe and provide improved off-road protection
- Multipoint differential relocation brackets secure the front axle and improve CV angles
- FOX Performance Series IFP gas rear shocks improve ride and off-road performance
- Factory Protection Plus drivetrain warranty included

Installation
- Estimated Time: 8 hours
- Difficulty: Difficult
- Tools Required: Cut Off Wheel or equivalent, Reciprocating Saw, Strut Compressor, Welding Equipment
Important Notes
- Installation of rear leaf springs requires removal of the fuel tank.
- Requires frame bracket modification.
- 20-inch wheels with 5-inch to 5-3/4-inch backspacing recommended to reduce trimming.
- Traction bars will not fit regular cab short box models.
- Add BDS121651 Auxiliary Differential Support Bracket for AWD models. May also require front driveline modification.
- Will not fit two-mode hybrid models with electronic power steering.
- Stock 20-inch wheels can be re-installed only with factory tire size.
- Factory 17-inch and 18-inch wheels cannot be re-installed.
