Overview

The BDS Recoil Traction Bar Mounting Kit is designed to improve traction on 2004–2020 Ford F150 4WD trucks without limiting wheel travel. Constructed from 2-inch OD x 3/16-inch wall steel tubing, the kit features heavy wall construction and internal compression springs that can be loaded or unloaded while installed on the vehicle to control axle wrap. The full float design delivers bind-free performance and is compatible with a range of lift heights. The axle mount uses BDS's large-forged flex end and jam nut, featuring a forged housing with a large 1-1/4-inch x 12 threaded shank, a single-sided snap ring, and a 1-piece flex ball capable of up to 15 degrees of misalignment in either direction. At the frame end, a durometer-specific polyurethane bushing free-floats in the traction bar via a pair of dual-stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings. A CNC-machined end is used at the frame, with a threaded bung welded in toward the axle end.

• Does not fit regular cab models
• Must measure axle — this kit fits trucks with 3-5/8" axle tube diameter
• Will work with Ford Raptor
