Rear shocks for this configuration are FOX 2.5 Performance Elite. These feature a 2.5-inch impact extruded aluminum body, a massive 7/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, an external reservoir design that separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen, a standard Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster for precise low- and high-speed compression tuning, and are fully serviceable for a lifetime of use.
Overview
This 2.5-inch suspension lift kit for 2019–2024 Chevy Trail Boss and GMC AT4 1500 trucks (4WD, Gas) is built around FOX 2.5 Performance Elite coil-over shocks up front, delivering improved stance, on-road comfort, and off-road capability with clearance for tires up to 35 inches. The kit corrects suspension and steering geometry at the new ride height using a combination of top-mounted strut spacers, high-strength upper control arms, high-clearance crossmembers, a multipiece differential relocation bracket system, and CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles with replacement tie rod ends — maintaining ESC system compatibility throughout. Out back, a heavy-duty lift block replaces the factory block to lift and level the stance while retaining ride quality and load capacity, complemented by new U-bolts, brake line brackets, and rear shocks. A heavy-duty skid plate system and differential skid protection round out the package for serious off-road use.
Features
- FOX 2.5 Performance Elite series coilovers with DSC Adjuster for improved ride quality, performance, and capability
- High-clearance crossmember design maximizes ground clearance; 1/4-inch thick laser-cut steel construction
- Robust CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles maintain ESC system compliance
- High-strength replacement upper control arms provide durability and serviceability; 1.5-inch OD x .120-wall tubular construction with indexed ball joint cup, greaseable ball joints, and durometer-specific rubber frame bushings
- HD skid plate system for improved off-road protection; bolts together to create a rigid subframe
- Multipoint differential relocation brackets to secure the front axle and improve CV angles
- Heavy-duty rear lift block retains ride quality and load capacity
- Factory Protection Plus drivetrain warranty included

Installation
- Estimated Time: 8 hours
- Difficulty: Difficult
- Tools Required: 36mm Socket, Cut Off Wheel or Equivalent, Ball Joint Separation Tool, Reciprocating Saw, Welding Equipment
Important Notes
- Requires frame bracket modification.
- Actual ride height with coilovers is closer to 4.5 inches of lift.
- Factory 17–18-inch wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference; stock 20-inch wheels can be reinstalled.
- 17-inch wheels with 4.5-inch backspacing should be test fit prior to mounting the tire to ensure proper clearance to the steering knuckle and tie rod end.
- All aftermarket wheels should be test fit prior to mounting the tire to ensure proper clearance to the brake caliper. Some wheel profiles will not clear the brake caliper. These can be test fitted before the vehicle is lifted in a stock condition.
- If equipped with a mono-leaf rear spring, please use part #UBT4064.
- 2.7L Turbo models use the Diesel kit for proper skid plate fitment.
