Overview
This 5-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is engineered for 2020–2026 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 4WD trucks. BDS designed a No Torsion Bar Drop System that mounts the torsion bars directly to the top of the lower a-arm, eliminating the need to drop the torsion bar cross-member and maximizing ground clearance. The kit improves stance, performance, and capability while providing clearance for tires up to 37 inches.
Up front, the kit utilizes torsion bar relocation brackets, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multipiece differential relocation brackets, and heavy-duty skid plates. Steering geometry is corrected at the new ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. Sway bar drops, stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary hardware are included. In the rear, replacement lift blocks and u-bolts level the stance while retaining ride quality and load capacity. Brake line and ABS line relocation brackets allow the use of factory brake lines.

Important Notes
- Requires frame bracket modification.
- A Torsion Bar Tool is required to load/unload torsion bars; the GM specified tool is #CH48809.
- Models with two-piece rear driveshafts will require a carrier bearing drop kit.
- Factory 17–18-inch wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference. Stock 20-inch wheels can be reinstalled with up to a 35x12.50 tire.
- In some cases, vehicles used in 4WD on the highway regularly could potentially experience a minor front driveline vibration. If this occurs, replacing the front driveshaft with a dual Cardan style driveshaft is recommended.
- Some minor trimming may be required with certain wheel/tire combinations. This is normal with most aftermarket tire/wheel fitment on Chevy/GM trucks. Trimming will normally include the bottom edge of the inner fender shrouds and/or lower corner of the front bumper valance. Deeper backspacing and shorter/narrower tires will reduce or eliminate trimming required.
- Will NOT work with AT4X or ZR2 models — lower control arm profile is different.
