This configuration is designed for vehicles equipped with a factory overload rear spring pack. Includes replacement lift blocks and U-bolts sized to accommodate the additional rear spring leaf found on overload-equipped 2020-2026 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 4WD models.

Overview

This 6.5-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is engineered for the 2020–2026 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 4WD. The kit features a No Torsion Bar Drop System that mounts torsion bars directly to the top of the lower a-arm, eliminating the need to drop the torsion bar cross-member for maximum ground clearance. Up front, the kit uses torsion bar relocation brackets, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multipiece differential relocation brackets, and heavy-duty skid plates. CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles correct steering geometry at the new ride height. Sway bar drops, stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary hardware are included. In the rear, replacement lift blocks and U-bolts level the stance while retaining ride quality and load capacity. Brake line and ABS line relocation brackets allow the use of factory brake lines. The kit accommodates up to 37-inch tires and is completed with a matching set of FOX 2.5 Performance Series HTO shocks.

Important Notes

• Requires frame bracket modification.
• A Torsion Bar Tool is required to load/unload torsion bars; the GM-specified tool is #CH48809.
• Models with two-piece rear driveshafts will require a carrier bearing drop kit.
• Factory 17–18-inch wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference. Stock 20-inch wheels can be reinstalled with up to a 35x12.50 tire.
• In some cases, vehicles used in 4WD on the highway regularly could potentially experience a minor front driveline vibration. If this occurs, replacing the front driveshaft with a dual Cardan style driveshaft is recommended.
• Some minor trimming may be required with certain wheel/tire combinations. This is normal with most aftermarket tire/wheel fitment on Chevy/GM trucks. Trimming will typically include the bottom edge of the inner fender shrouds and/or lower corner of the front bumper valance. Deeper backspacing and shorter/narrower tires will reduce or eliminate trimming required. Further trimming tips are included at the end of the instruction sheet.
