Designed for vehicles equipped with Cast Steel factory control arms. Configured with NX2 Nitro Series rear shocks featuring a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends for increased strength, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.
Overview
This BDS 6-inch lift kit is engineered for 2015–2019 Chevy Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon/Yukon XL 1500 4WD models, providing improved stance, performance, and capability with clearance for up to 35-inch tires. The kit utilizes a high-clearance design to improve ground clearance, strength, and off-road protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for proper on-road handling.
Up front, the kit includes full-length replacement strut shocks, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, a multipiece differential relocation bracket system, and heavy-duty skid plates. Steering geometry is corrected at the new ride height using CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. The kit also includes sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all necessary hardware. In the rear, BDS Pro-Ride coil springs, anti-sway bar links, a track bar relocation system, and adjustable upper control arms allow for proper pinion angle adjustment.
Features
- High-clearance crossmember design maximizes ground clearance
- Heavy-duty 1/4-inch thick laser-cut steel crossmembers paired with a front skid plate system that bolts together to create a rigid subframe
- CNC-machined ductile cast iron steering knuckles correct steering geometry at the new ride height and maintain factory tie rod end compatibility
- Robust steering knuckles maintain ESC system compliance
- Multipoint differential relocation brackets secure the front axle and improve CV angles
- High-strength replacement rear upper control arms provide durability and serviceability
- HD skid plate system for improved off-road protection
- Pro-Ride rear coil springs for on-road ride quality and off-road performance
- Rear track bar relocation system and adjustable upper control arms for proper pinion angle adjustment
- Factory Protection Plus drivetrain warranty included
Installation
- Estimated Installation Time: 8 hours
- Difficulty: Difficult
- Tools Required: 36mm Socket, Cut-Off Wheel or Equivalent, Reciprocating Saw, Strut Compressor, Welding Equipment
Important Notes
- Frame bracket modification and welding are required.
- 20-inch wheels with 5-inch to 5-3/4-inch backspacing are recommended to reduce trimming.
- AWD models may require front driveline modification.
- Factory 17-inch and 18-inch wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod interference.
- Will not work with Auto-Ride or Magna-Ride equipped vehicles.
- Factory Control Arm Type — IMPORTANT: GM produced several knuckle/control arm configurations in 2014–2018 model trucks. Cast Steel control arm equipped models require the "Cast Steel Control Arm" kit variant. Stamped Steel and Aluminum control arm equipped models require the "Aluminum / Stamped Steel Control Arm" kit variant. Verify which factory control arms your vehicle has before ordering.
