This variant includes a rear block kit featuring cast iron blocks tapered for correct pinion angle. The steel pin and hole are offset to restore axle position, reducing axle wrap for a more controlled and stable feel. Blocks maintain factory payload weight ratings and eliminate the need for an additional lift block.
This 8-inch lift kit with long-arm and FOX 2.5 coilover conversion from BDS Suspension is designed for 2003–2007 Dodge RAM 2500 and 3500 4WD diesel trucks. The kit is engineered to improve stance, performance, and capability, providing clearance for up to 38-inch tires. BDS developed a mounting system that bolts directly to the factory coil mounts with only minor trimming and drilling required, and includes weld-in reinforcements at the axle for superior strength.
Up front, the kit includes FOX 2.5 coilover shocks, all four control arms plus mounting brackets, a forged drop pitman arm, track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, and sway bar links. In the rear, the kit uses heavy-duty cast steel blocks or leaf springs (depending on variant selected), longer U-bolts, and a matched set of FOX 2.0 Performance shocks.
The FOX 2.5 coilovers are tuned and ready to install out of the box. These 2.5-inch diameter bolt-on coil-overs are built for demanding use and include a remote reservoir for additional fluid capacity to keep shocks running cool under sustained off-road use. They are designed to deliver both on-road comfort and off-road capability.
The long arm system features massive 1/4-inch steel frame-mounted brackets to install oversized upper and lower formed long arms. The long lower control arms are built to reduce caster change through wheel travel, creating a more controlled steering feel. The system retains the factory triangulation of the arms for added suspension stability. The arms are designed to maximize tire clearance while allowing the stock control arm tabs to remain on the vehicle. Upper arms are solid stock; heavy-wall tubular lower arms utilize oversized greaseable polyurethane bushings for superior road vibration isolation.
Measure rear axle tube before ordering. Some 4-inch axle models with dual overloads will require UBT4068. Rear lift options will not fit dually applications. If driveline vibration occurs, order either transfer case drop. NOTE: 122606 transfer case drop kit will only replace the OE bracket #52121938AA. Additional front driveline modification may be required. Exhaust modification will be required for dual rear shock kit 122009. 2500 Gas models will require modification to the front exhaust crossover pipe on the driver side for proper clearance when a transfer case indexing ring kit is installed. If your truck has had the steering gear box changed and the sector shaft diameter measures approximately 1-1/2"–1-5/8", you will need to add part #BDS082404 to your kit.
