This design eliminates the need for an additional lift block, reduces axle wrap, and creates a more controlled and stable feel while maintaining factory payload weight ratings.
This 8-inch lift kit with long arm and FOX 2.5 coil-over conversion from BDS Suspension is designed for the 2008 Dodge RAM 2500 and 3500 4WD diesel truck. The kit features proprietary FOX 2.5 coil-over shocks engineered specifically to bolt on for increased travel and the ability to handle rough terrain while maintaining smooth on-road comfort. The kit provides clearance for up to 38-inch tires and includes a mounting system that bolts directly to the factory coil mounts with only minor trimming and drilling required. Weld-in reinforcements at the axle are included for superior strength. The long lower control arms are built to reduce caster change through wheel travel for a more controlled steering feel. The long arm system retains the factory triangulation of the arms, contributing to overall suspension stability.
Up front, the kit includes FOX 2.5 coil-over shocks, all four control arms with mounting brackets, a forged drop pitman arm, a track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, and sway bar links. In the rear, the kit utilizes heavy duty cast steel blocks, longer u-bolts, and FOX 2.0 Performance shocks.
FOX 2.5 coil-overs are tuned and ready to install out of the box. These 2.5-inch diameter bolt-on coil-overs include a remote reservoir for additional fluid capacity to keep shocks running cool during demanding off-road use.
The long arm conversion consists of massive 1/4-inch steel frame-mounted brackets paired with oversized upper and lower formed long arms. The arms are formed for maximum tire clearance and allow the stock control arm tabs to remain on the vehicle. The upper arms are solid stock while the heavy wall tubular lower arms use oversized greaseable polyurethane bushings for superior road vibration isolation.
