Rear Lift Option: Block Kit with 3-1/2 Inch Axle — Cast iron lift blocks, tapered for correct pinion angle with offset steel pin to restore axle position. Reduces axle wrap for a controlled, stable feel. Multi-leaf progressive design maintains factory payload ratings.

Shock Option: FOX 2.0 Performance Series — 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston, application-specific valving, clear anodized finish.

Overview

BDS Suspension engineered this 8-inch lift kit with long arm conversion for the 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 diesel-powered truck. Designed to improve stance, performance, and capability, this kit includes everything necessary to build the truck up correctly with clearance for up to 38-inch tires. The long lower control arms reduce caster change through wheel travel, creating a more controlled feel at the steering wheel. This long arm system retains the factory triangulation of the arms, adding to the overall stability of the suspension system.

Up front, the kit includes diesel-specific Pro-Ride coil springs, all four control arms plus mounting brackets, a forged drop pitman arm, a track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, sway bar links, and precision-tuned nitrogen-charged shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes heavy duty rear lift components and a matching set of shocks.

Pro-Ride Coil Springs

A pair of full-length, diesel-specific, progressive rate Pro-Ride coil springs provide the correct lift height and smooth, predictable ride across various terrains. Manufactured from high tensile steel, these direct OE replacement coil springs are engineered with properly sized wire diameter for maximum reliability without premature coil bind.

Steering Correction

To optimize steering geometry once lifted, a forged drop pitman arm minimizes the steering angle. A heavy duty track bar drop bracket keeps the steering components in phase through suspension travel while recentering the front axle.

Important Notes

  • Measure rear axle tube before ordering. Some 4-inch axle models with dual overloads will require UBT4068.
  • Rear lift options will not fit dually applications.
  • If driveline vibration occurs, order either transfer case drop. NOTE: 122606 transfer case drop kit will only replace the OE bracket #52121938AA.
  • Additional front driveline modification may be required.
  • Exhaust modification will be required for dual rear shock kit 122009.
  • 2500 Gas models will require modification to the front exhaust crossover pipe on driver side for proper clearance when a transfer case indexing ring kit is installed.
  • If your truck has had the steering gear box changed and the sector shaft diameter measures approximately 1-1/2" to 1-5/8", you will need to add part # BDS082404 to your kit.
