This variant is configured with a cast iron Block Kit for the rear lift, sized for a 3-1/2 inch rear axle, and includes NX2 Nitro Series shocks front and rear. NX2 shocks feature a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends for increased strength, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.
The rear cast iron block is tapered for correct pinion angle with an offset steel pin and hole to restore axle position, reducing axle wrap for a more controlled and stable feel.
BDS Suspension engineered this 6-inch lift kit with a long-arm conversion for the 2009–2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2009–2012 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel-powered truck. Designed to improve stance, performance, and capability, this kit includes everything necessary to set your vehicle up with clearance for up to 37-inch tires. The long lower control arms are built to reduce caster change through wheel travel, creating a more controlled steering feel. This long-arm system retains the factory triangulation of the arms, adding to the stability of the suspension system.
Up front, the kit includes diesel-specific Pro-Ride coil springs, all four control arms plus mounting bracket, a forged drop pitman arm and track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, sway bar links, and precision-tuned shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes heavy-duty cast steel blocks or leaf springs (depending on configuration), longer U-bolts, and a matched set of shocks.
A pair of full-length, diesel-specific, progressive-rate Pro-Ride coil springs is supplied to provide the correct lift height and a smooth, predictable ride across various terrains. Manufactured from high-tensile steel, these direct OE replacement coil springs are engineered with properly sized wire diameters for maximum reliability without premature coil bind. To optimize steering geometry once lifted, a forged drop pitman arm minimizes the steering angle, paired with a heavy-duty track bar drop bracket to keep them in phase throughout suspension travel while recentering the front axle.
