Configured for the Chrysler 8.25 rear axle with NX2 Nitro Series shocks. NX2 shocks feature a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends for increased strength, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish. Includes u-bolts sized for Chrysler 8.25 axles (3" wide).
This 3-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is designed to improve the stance, performance, and off-road capability of the 1986-1991 Jeep Comanche MJ, providing clearance for up to 31-inch tires. Up front, the kit includes ProRide coil springs, extended sway bar links, and a transfer case drop to maintain proper driveline angles. In the rear, a long thin add-a-leaf adds height without creating a harsh ride, complemented by a 5/8-inch lift block to level out the Jeep. ProRide coil springs are full-length, Jeep-specific springs manufactured from high tensile steel, engineered with properly sized wire diameter for maximum reliability without premature coil bind. The kit is completed with your choice of NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.
The Jeep Comanche was produced with two different rear axles (Chrysler 8.25 or Dana 35). You will need to measure your rear u-bolts to ensure that you get the correct new u-bolts. Basically, just measure the diameter of the axle or the I.D. of your rear u-bolts. The transfer case drop kit will not be necessary for 2WD applications.
Chrysler axles require 3" wide u-bolts and Dana 35 axles require 2-3/4" wide u-bolts. Some 1987-90 models came with a Dana 44. Measure and call BDS for proper u-bolt fitment.
