Configured for vehicles with the Dana 35 rear axle, this kit includes the correct u-bolts sized at 2-3/4 inches wide. Shocks included: FOX 2.0 Performance Series — featuring a 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston, application-specific valving, and a long-lasting clear anodized finish.

Overview

BDS Suspension's 4.5-inch suspension lift kit is engineered to improve the stance and off-road capability of the Jeep Cherokee XJ (1984–2001), providing clearance for up to 32-inch tires. The front kit includes BDS Pro-Ride coil springs, a heavy-duty adjustable front track bar to recenter the front axle, bump stop extensions, stainless braided brake lines, sway bar quick disconnects, and heavy-duty front upper and lower adjustable control arms. The rear kit features BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs for maximum travel, a stainless braided brake line, and extended shackles. The kit is completed with a choice of NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.

Pro-Ride Coil Springs: Full-length, gas-specific coil springs manufactured from high tensile steel with properly sized wire diameter for maximum reliability without premature coil bind, engineered as a direct OE replacement.

Glide-Ride Leaf Springs: Multi-leaf progressive spring rate design using an exclusive triple-stage construction that provides a smooth ride under any load and flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.

Important Notes

• Measure the rear u-bolts before ordering. The Jeep Cherokee was produced with two different rear axles (Chrysler 8.25 or Dana 35). Chrysler axles require 3-inch wide u-bolts; Dana 35 axles require 2-3/4-inch wide u-bolts. Some 1987–1990 models came equipped with a Dana 44 — measure and contact BDS for proper u-bolt fitment.
• Some XJ models are equipped with a Dana 44 rear axle.
• A CV-style rear driveshaft (not included) and a slip yoke eliminator kit are required.
