Configured for the Dana 35 rear axle with 2-3/4-inch wide u-bolts. Includes FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks featuring a 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, a massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston, application-specific valving, and a long-lasting clear anodized finish.

Overview

This 2-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is designed to improve the stance, performance, and off-road capability of the 1984–2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ. The kit includes everything required for installation and provides clearance for tires up to 30 inches. Up front, ProRide coil springs deliver the correct lift height with a smooth, predictable ride. At the rear, a long thin add-a-leaf raises ride height without creating a harsh ride. Shocks are available in your choice of NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series to suit your damping preference.

Important Notes

• Transfer case lowering kit is not required for 2WD models.
• Measure the rear u-bolts before ordering. The Jeep Cherokee XJ was produced with two different rear axles (Chrysler 8.25 or Dana 35). Chrysler 8.25 axles require 3-inch wide u-bolts; Dana 35 axles require 2-3/4-inch wide u-bolts.
• Some 1987–1990 models came equipped with a Dana 44 rear axle. If your vehicle has a Dana 44, measure your u-bolts and contact BDS Suspension for proper u-bolt fitment.
