Rear lift achieved with cast iron lift blocks — tapered for correct pinion angle with an offset steel pin to restore axle position, reducing axle wrap for a more controlled feel. Paired with NX2 Nitro Series shocks featuring a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.
Overview
This 4-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is designed to improve the stance, performance, and capability of the 2000–2005 Ford Excursion 4WD, providing clearance for up to 33-inch tires. Up front, the kit includes Glide-Ride leaf springs, a track bar bracket for steering correction, extended sway bar links, and custom-tuned nitrogen charged shocks. The rear utilizes high-strength lift blocks or Glide-Ride leaf springs (depending on selected option), longer U-bolts, and a matched set of shocks. BDS engineered the Glide-Ride leaf springs into a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design with an exclusive triple-stage construction that provides a smooth ride under any load while maintaining factory payload weight ratings.
