Rear lift is achieved via a cast steel block and add-a-leaf combo designed for trucks with top-mounted factory overload springs. Steel blocks provide high strength, correct pinion angles, and reduce axle wrap for a more controlled feel. The multi-leaf progressive add-a-leaf maintains factory payload ratings.
Shocks: NX2 Nitro Series — nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends, 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and silver powder coat finish.
This 5-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is engineered for 2000–2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 4WD trucks. It is designed to improve stance, performance, and capability while providing clearance for up to 35-inch tires. BDS engineered new lower control arms that are longer than stock to rotate the axle for proper alignment, along with a relocation mounting bracket to flatten the angle of the upper control arm and maintain factory handling characteristics.
Up front, the kit includes Pro-Ride coil springs, all four control arms plus relocation bracket, a forged drop pitman arm, a track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, and sway bar drop brackets. In the rear, the kit utilizes either a heavy duty cast steel block and add-a-leaf combination or replacement leaf springs, longer U-bolts, and a matched set of shocks. Shock options are NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series.
The Pro-Ride coil springs are full-length, diesel-specific, progressive rate units manufactured from high tensile steel. They are engineered with properly sized wire diameter for maximum reliability without premature coil bind. A forged drop pitman arm minimizes steering angle once lifted, and a heavy duty track bar drop bracket keeps steering geometry in phase through suspension travel while recentering the front axle.
