Overview

BDS Suspension engineered this 5.5-inch lift kit with radius arm for 2014–2018 RAM 2500 gas-powered trucks equipped with factory rear air ride systems. The kit is designed to improve stance, performance, and capability while providing clearance for up to 37-inch tires. Up front, the kit includes gas-specific Pro-Ride coil springs, heavy-duty tubular radius arms, a forged drop pitman arm, a track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, brake line brackets, and precision-tuned shocks. A transfer case indexing ring and new transmission crossmember are supplied to allow use of the factory front driveshaft at this lift height. In the rear, the kit utilizes heavy-duty air bag spacers, a track bar relocation bracket, bump stop extensions, sway bar links, and a matching set of shocks. New air ride leveling sensor brackets are included to re-position the ride height sensors, maintaining full air bag range of motion and factory-like ride height control.

HD Radius Arms

In place of the factory stamped steel radius arms, BDS supplies a pair of high-strength tubular radius arms. These arms mount into the factory location and offer caster adjustment for a wide range of lift heights. An OE-style rubber bushing at the frame mount provides smooth, quiet, service-free operation.

Pro-Ride Coil Springs

A pair of full-length, gas-specific, progressive rate Pro-Ride coil springs are included to provide the correct lift height and a smooth, predictable ride across various terrains. Manufactured from high tensile steel with properly sized wire diameter, these direct OE replacement coil springs are engineered for maximum reliability without premature coil bind.

Steering Correction

A forged drop pitman arm minimizes steering angle once lifted, and pairs with a heavy-duty track bar drop bracket to keep steering geometry in phase through suspension travel while recentering the front axle.

Important Notes

• For OE Air Ride systems only.
• 6.4L gas models will require exhaust modification to clear the front driveshaft.
• 5.7L gas models may require exhaust modification as well.
• The vehicle can be driven without the front driveshaft to an exhaust shop for modifications to be made before reinstalling the driveshaft.
