Overview
The BDS 6-inch lift kit is engineered to improve stance, performance, and capability for 1992–1998 Chevy and GMC Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon 1500 6-lug SUVs. Designed around heavy-duty upper control arms and CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles, this kit delivers zero track width change for maximum driveability. The kit provides clearance for up to 35-inch tires and takes advantage of BDS's high-clearance design for improved ground clearance, strength, and off-road protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for proper on-road handling.
Up front, the kit utilizes torsion bar drop brackets, heavy-duty upper control arms, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, a multipiece differential relocation bracket system, and heavy-duty skid plates. Steering geometry is corrected at the new ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. Sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all required hardware are included for a comprehensive front suspension lift. In the rear, BDS offers both a replacement lift block/add-a-leaf combo and full Glide-Ride leaf spring options to lift and level the stance. New U-bolts and precision-tuned shocks complete the rear suspension package.
