Rear lift is achieved with full Glide-Ride Leaf Springs. Designed to provide approximately 4.5 inches of rear lift, these multi-leaf progressive replacement springs freshen up worn factory springs, eliminate the need for a lift block, reduce axle wrap, and maintain factory payload weight ratings. Includes new center pins and new u-bolts.
Paired with FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks featuring a 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston design, application-specific valving, and a long-lasting clear anodized finish.
The BDS 6-inch lift kit is engineered to improve stance, performance, and capability on 1988–1998 Chevrolet and GMC K1500 and K2500 6-lug 4WD trucks. Designed around heavy duty upper control arms and CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles, this kit offers zero track width change for maximum driveability. It includes clearance for up to 35-inch tires and takes advantage of BDS's high-clearance design for improved ground clearance, strength, and off-road protection, while correcting suspension and steering geometry for on-road handling.
Up front, the kit utilizes torsion bar drop brackets, heavy duty upper control arms, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, a multipiece differential relocation bracket system, and heavy duty skid plates. Steering geometry is corrected at the new ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. The kit also includes sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all necessary hardware. In the rear, the kit is available with either a lift block and add-a-leaf combination or full Glide-Ride replacement leaf springs, along with new u-bolts and a choice of NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.
