This variant includes Glide-Ride rear leaf springs in place of a lift block. The multi-leaf progressive design eliminates the need for a lift block, reduces axle wrap, and creates a more controlled and stable feel while maintaining factory payload weight ratings. Shocks are FOX 2.0 Performance Series: 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body monotube design with an internal floating piston (IFP), CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, a massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston, application-specific valving, and a long-lasting clear anodized finish.
The BDS 4.5-inch lift kit is engineered to improve stance, performance, and capability for the 1999–2006 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD. BDS designed a No Torsion Bar Drop System where the torsion bars are mounted directly to the top of the lower a-arm, eliminating the need to drop the torsion bar cross-member and maximizing ground clearance. This kit includes everything necessary to fit up to 33-inch tires while correcting suspension and steering geometry for improved on-road handling characteristics.
Up front, the kit utilizes torsion bar relocation brackets, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multipiece differential relocation brackets, and heavy duty skid plates for off-road protection. Steering geometry is corrected at the new taller ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. Sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all required hardware are also included. In the rear, buyers may choose between a replacement 5-inch lift block or full Glide-Ride leaf springs, along with new u-bolts and brake line brackets.
