Rear lift achieved with full Glide-Ride Replacement Leaf Springs. The multi-leaf progressive design delivers a smooth ride, eliminates any need for a lift block, reduces axle wrap for a more controlled and stable feel, and maintains factory payload weight ratings. Paired with FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks featuring a 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, a massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston design, application-specific valving, and a long-lasting clear anodized finish.

Overview

The BDS 6-inch lift kit is designed for the 1999–2006 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD to improve stance, performance, and off-road capability. BDS engineered a No Torsion Bar Drop System that mounts the torsion bars directly to the top of the lower a-arm, eliminating the need to drop the torsion bar cross-member and maximizing ground clearance. The kit provides clearance for up to 35-inch tires and corrects suspension and steering geometry for proper on-road handling at the new taller ride height.

Up front, the kit includes torsion bar relocation brackets, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, multipiece differential relocation brackets, heavy duty skid plates, CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles, sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets, CV spacers, and all necessary hardware. In the rear, buyers may choose between a lift block with add-a-leaf or full replacement Glide-Ride leaf springs, along with new u-bolts, brake line brackets, and a choice of NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.

Important Notes

• Special tool (Kent Moore Tools Part# J-42393) required to unload/load torsion bars. Not available through BDS.
• Requires frame bracket modification and differential mount modification as well as minor welding.
• If equipped with stock 17" wheels, then must replace with 17" or larger aftermarket wheels.
• AWD models will require front driveline modification.
• Will not fit Quadsteer equipped models.
