BDS 5.5 Inch Lift Kit w/ 4-Link | Ram 3500 w/ Rear Air Ride (2013-2018) 4WD Gas | NX2 Nitro Series

Configured with NX2 Nitro Series shocks front and rear. NX2 shocks feature a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, dual-welded ends for increased strength, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.

Overview

BDS Suspension engineered this 5.5-inch lift kit with 4-Link conversion for 2013-2018 RAM 3500 gas-powered trucks equipped with factory rear air ride. Designed to improve stance, performance, and capability, this kit includes everything necessary to provide clearance for up to 37-inch tires. Up front, the kit includes gas-specific Pro-Ride coil springs, 4-Link control arms with conversion mounts, a forged drop pitman arm, a track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, brake line brackets, and precision-tuned shocks. In the rear, this kit utilizes a high-strength fabricated lift block, heavy-duty air bag spacers, longer u-bolts, and a matching set of shocks.

4-Link Conversion

The factory stamped steel radius arms are converted to the BDS 4-link to optimize suspension geometry for better handling characteristics while adding strength and stability. This bolt-on upgrade utilizes high-strength 1/4-inch steel brackets that allow mounting of HD upper and lower control arms to correct axle positioning while limiting caster change throughout wheel travel.

Pro-Ride Coil Springs

A pair of full-length, gas-specific, progressive rate Pro-Ride coil springs are supplied to provide the correct lift height and smooth, predictable ride across various terrains.

Steering Correction

A forged drop pitman arm minimizes the steering angle, paired with a heavy-duty track bar drop bracket to keep steering geometry in phase through suspension travel while recentering the front axle.

Important Notes

• 6.4L gas models will require exhaust modification to clear the front driveshaft. 5.7L gas models may require exhaust modification as well. The vehicle can be driven without the front driveshaft to an exhaust shop for modifications to be made before reinstalling the driveshaft.
• The carrier bearing drop is necessary for models equipped with a two-piece rear drive shaft.
• Some vehicles may require a rear driveshaft spacer kit (p/n 122007) to maintain adequate rear driveshaft engagement.
• DRW models: fit inner wheel clearance to the upper u-bolt plate on 5.5–6-inch kits.
