Overview

This 8-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is designed for 1988–1991 Chevy and GMC 3/4 ton Suburban 4WD trucks. The kit improves stance, performance, and off-road capability while providing clearance for tires up to 38 inches. Up front, the kit includes Glide-Ride leaf springs, a 4-inch steering arm and 3-inch steering block for steering correction, brake line brackets, sway bar drop brackets, and precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen charged shocks. The rear of the kit uses Glide-Ride leaf springs, new U-bolts, and a matching set of NX2 Nitro shocks.

BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs feature a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design with an exclusive triple-stage construction that delivers a smooth ride under any load and provides flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.

Important Notes

• Both driveshafts may need to be lengthened.
• Aftermarket extended brake lines are required for installation.
• Exhaust modification may be required to clear the front driveshaft.
• Emergency brake cable extension kit may be required.
• #001608 comes with OE style rubber bushings installed.
• The 3/4 ton commonly came with a factory 56-inch eye-to-eye rear leaf spring. However, some were produced with a 52-inch rear spring. This kit will not work with 52-inch rear springs. If ordering rear leaf springs, be sure to measure your factory rear spring before ordering.
• If equipped with a factory front sway bar, order the front sway bar shackle link kit listed in the accessories section.
• Some vehicles came with factory front dual shocks. If you wish to replace the factory duals, you must order the additional two auxiliary shocks in the options.
