Rear lift utilizes Glide-Ride replacement leaf springs — a multi-leaf progressive design that eliminates the need for a lift block, reduces axle wrap, maintains factory payload weight ratings, and includes new center pins. Shocks are upgraded to FOX 2.0 Performance Series: featuring a 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston, application-specific valving, and a long-lasting clear anodized finish.

Overview

This 6-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is designed for 1988–1991 Chevy and GMC 3/4 ton Suburbans (4WD), delivering improved stance, performance, and capability with clearance for up to 36-inch tires. Up front, the kit includes Glide-Ride leaf springs, a 4-inch steering arm for steering correction, brake line brackets, and precision-tuned shocks. The rear lift is available in two configurations: a block kit with Add-A-Leaf or full replacement Glide-Ride leaf springs. Shock options include NX2 Nitro Series as standard, with an upgrade path to FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.

Important Notes

• The 3/4 ton commonly came with a factory 56-inch eye-to-eye rear leaf spring; however, some were produced with a 52-inch rear spring. If ordering rear leaf springs, measure your factory rear spring before ordering.
• If equipped with a factory front sway bar, order the front sway bar shackle link kit listed in the accessories section.
• Some vehicles came with factory front dual shocks. To replace the factory duals, you must order the additional two auxiliary shocks in the options.
• #001408 comes with OE style rubber bushings installed.
• Exhaust modification may be required to clear the front driveshaft.
