Rear lift achieved with a 4 Inch Block Kit with Add-A-Leaf. Includes cast iron blocks for correct pinion angles plus an add-a-leaf that provides an additional 1 inch of lift, fresher spring feel, new center pins, reduced axle wrap, and a more controlled stable feel — eliminating any need for a lift block alone. Paired with NX2 Nitro Series shocks featuring a nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends, a 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.

Overview

This 4-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is designed for 1988–1991 Chevy and GMC 3/4 ton Trucks and Suburbans (4WD). The kit improves stance, performance, and capability while providing clearance for up to 35-inch tires. Up front, the kit includes Glide-Ride leaf springs, a 4-inch steering arm for steering correction, brake line brackets, and precision-tuned shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes a high-strength lift block, longer U-bolts, and a matching set of shocks. Rear lift options include a block kit, a block kit with add-a-leaf, or full replacement Glide-Ride leaf springs.

BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs use an exclusive triple-stage, multi-leaf progressive spring rate design that provides a smooth ride under any load while maintaining flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.

Important Notes

• The 3/4 ton commonly came with a factory 56-inch eye-to-eye rear leaf spring. However, some were produced with a 52-inch rear spring. If ordering rear leaf springs, measure your factory rear spring before ordering.
• If equipped with a factory front sway bar, order the front sway bar shackle link kit listed in the accessories section.
• Some vehicles came with factory front dual shocks. If you wish to replace the factory duals, you must order the additional two auxiliary shocks in the options.
• #001408 comes with OE style rubber bushings installed.
• Exhaust modification may be required to clear the front driveshaft.
