Rear lift is provided by Glide-Ride Rear Leaf Springs — a multi-leaf progressive design that eliminates the need for a lift block, reduces axle wrap, provides a more controlled and stable feel, and maintains factory payload weight ratings. Paired with FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks featuring a 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston, and application-specific valving for maximum on- and off-road performance.

Overview

This 6-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is engineered for 1977–1987 Chevy and GMC 3/4 ton trucks and SUVs (K20 and K25), designed to improve stance, performance, and capability with clearance for up to 36-inch tires. Up front, the kit includes Glide-Ride leaf springs, a 4-inch steering arm for steering correction, brake line brackets, and precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen-charged shocks. The rear configuration is available in either a high-strength block kit with add-a-leaf or full Glide-Ride leaf springs, both paired with longer U-bolts and a choice of NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.

Important Notes

The 3/4 ton commonly came with a factory 56-inch eye-to-eye rear leaf spring. However, some were produced with a 52-inch rear spring. If ordering rear leaf springs, measure your factory rear spring before ordering. If equipped with a factory front sway bar, order the front sway bar shackle link kit listed in the accessories section. Some vehicles came with factory front dual shocks. If you wish to replace the factory duals, you must order the additional two auxiliary shocks in the options. Exhaust modification may be required to clear the front driveshaft. #001608 comes with OE-style rubber bushings installed.
