Overview

The BDS Recoil Traction Bar Mounting Kit is designed for 2019–2024 Ram 3500 4WD trucks, providing improved traction without limiting wheel travel. Built with heavy wall steel construction and internal compression springs, the kit controls axle wrap while maintaining a full-float design for bind-free performance across a range of lift heights. The bar is fabricated from 2-inch OD x 3/16-inch wall steel tubing with a threaded bung welded toward the axle end and a CNC-machined end at the frame. The axle mount uses BDS's large-forged flex end and jam nut, featuring a forged housing with a large 1-1/4-inch x 12 threaded shank, a single-sided snap ring, and a 1-piece flex ball capable of up to 15 degrees of misalignment in either direction. At the frame end, a durometer-specific polyurethane bushing free-floats within the traction bar via dual-stage internal compression springs and UHMW polyurethane bearings.
