This 8-inch lift kit from BDS Suspension is designed for 1973–1976 Chevy and GMC 3/4 ton trucks and SUVs (K20/K25), improving stance, performance, and off-road capability. The kit provides clearance for tires up to 38 inches and includes everything needed for a complete installation. Up front, the kit features Glide-Ride leaf springs, a 4-inch steering arm, and a 3-inch steering block for steering correction, along with brake line brackets, sway bar drop brackets, and precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen-charged shocks. The rear uses Glide-Ride leaf springs, new U-bolts, and a matching set of NX2 Nitro shocks. BDS engineered the Glide-Ride leaf springs with an exclusive triple-stage, multi-leaf progressive spring rate design that delivers a smooth ride under any load while providing flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.
The 3/4 ton commonly came with a factory 56-inch eye-to-eye rear leaf spring. However, some were produced with a 52-inch rear spring. This kit will not work with 52-inch rear springs. If ordering rear leaf springs, be sure to measure your factory rear spring before ordering. Both driveshafts may need to be lengthened. Aftermarket extended brake lines are required for installation. Exhaust modification may be required to clear the front driveshaft. If your vehicle is equipped with a front anti-sway bar, order the anti-sway bar shackle link kit listed in the accessories. #001608 comes with OE style rubber bushings installed.
