These rear leaf springs feature a multi-leaf progressive design that balances everyday ride quality with full payload capacity. The primary three leafs remain functional under no additional load for a smooth daily driving experience. As moderate loads are applied, the secondary leafs engage to provide additional support. When the vehicle is fully loaded, the bottom overload leaf engages for maximum hauling capacity. This design allows the truck to maintain ride quality when unloaded without sacrificing payload ratings.
1974–1975 models must have 131" wheelbase and 7200# GVWR or more for #004408 rear springs to fit.
