With the growing popularity of the Australian converted Dodge Ram 1500, ARB's engineers have designed and developed a Summit W in. Bumper to suit. Due to the size of the vehicle and its ability to tow up to 4.5 Tons (subject to vehicle specification) the Ram Summit Bumper has been designed to suit 12,000lb w inches. To accommodate the larger w in. sizes the lower pan of the Ram 1500 bar is a different profile to other Summit Bumpers and features additional bracing to achieve the higher w in. loads. Testing has been conducted via FEA simulations, testing with ARB's 30T press and fitted bar, and w in. testing with ARB's load cell to ensure that the bar assembly, chassis mounts and chassis perform as expected under w in. load conditions.
