ARB's engineers have designed and developed a Summit Winch Bumper to suit the Dodge Ram 1500. Due to the size of the vehicle and its ability to tow up to 4.5 Tons (subject to vehicle specification) the Ram Summit Bumper has been designed to suit 12,000lb winches. To accommodate the larger winch sizes the lower pan of the Ram 1500 bar is a different profile to other Summit Bumpers and features additional bracing to achieve the higher winch loads. Testing has been conducted via FEA simulations, testing with ARB's 30T press and fitted bar, and winch testing with ARB's load cell to ensure that the bar assembly, chassis mounts and chassis perform as expected under winch load conditions.
